Vertrel^® SFR  is a powerful azeotropic product from DuPont formulated for use in vapor degreaser applications. This cleaner was specifically formulated for inorganic contamination and offers heavy duty cleaning of  tough-to-clean lead-free fluxes. It also offers excellent environmental properties. This cleaner is an excellent replacement for cold-cleaning applications using the strongest blends of CFC-113, HCFC-141b, HFCF-225, methyl chloroform-based products and nPB.

Specifically, Vertrel^® SFR  is a proprietary triple-azeotrope of a nonflammable hydrofluorocarbon HFC solvent called HFC 43-10mee (which is also known as 2,3-dihydrodeca-fluoropentane), trans-1,2-dichloroethylene and another proprietary HFC.

The primary benefit of Vertrel^® SFR  is that it is one of the most powerful yet economical solvents available. This means it (a) offers very aggressive cleaning, (b) it is nonflammable in all packages and environments, and (c) dries almost instantly.

Importantly, Vertrel^® SFR  is optimized for use in vapor degreasing equipment. It also is available in aerosol form from MicroCare under the brand name "PowerClean."
