Do I Need Eye Protection With Vertrel® ?

Eye protection is strongly recommended when your people are working with Vertrel®, as well as any time people are working with any solvent or chemical. While Vertrel® solvents are generally regarded as safe, it just makes sense that goggles or safety glasses should be used. They are simple, comfortable and cheap insurance against potential eye injuries. This is the simplest of good work practices and is highly recommended any time, all the time.

Other safety clothing also is strongly suggested. Micro Care and DuPont recommend gloves, splash goggles, aprons (when handling open drums), and safety shoes with steel toes -- especially when moving heavy drums.

Just for the record, we practice what we preach. The staff at Micro Care are expert at moving, blending, handling and storing chemicals. Nonetheless, despite our expertise and familiarity with these chemistries, everybody at Micro Care always wears eye protection and protective clothing in the manufacturing area. If we wear them, your people should wear them, too. It just makes sense.
